Release 48
One box to tell your desk anything, and one list under it
Guidance is now one box where you tell your desk anything, and one list of everything it is working under.
What changed for people using Bellwether
- One box for everything you say. On Strategy, Guidance has a single box called Tell your desk. Write it the way you would say it and press Read it back to me, and a card shows what the desk understood and what would change before anything does.
- One list of what it follows. Your goals, notes, rules and scheduled changes sit in one list, each row with your own words and one sentence on what the desk does with them. The separate notes and rules form is gone.
- Strategy and Risk fit a screen. Strategy opens on five short tabs, with posture, autonomy and allocation side by side on Profile. Risk shows three meters against their limits, then Limits, Halts and Universe as tabs with an everyday name and the value in force on every row.
- Consult is one conversation. The conversation and the box you type in share one panel that fits the screen, with four plain buttons under the box. A side panel lists what waits for your confirmation and what the desk looked at for its answer.
- Settings is one page with tabs. Account, Notifications, Book and Display each get the full width, and your broker connection is one link away. Admin gathers requests, invitations and members under People.
What you may notice
- The three counts above the Guidance list, in force, waiting for the desk and ended, add up to the list and match the number on the tab.
- Loosening a limit still asks you to type MORE RISK and give your authenticator code. Tightening one still saves on one confirmation.
- When your account size holds a limit lower than the number you chose, the row shows both numbers and says when yours applies again.
- After the close, Consult says the PM can only read until the next open. Ask the PM to look now keeps its name.
- A goal you set sits on a cream card with your own words and the days left.
- The desk's suggestions moved from Strategy to the Inbox, and Strategy links to them.
- Old links to the former Strategy and Settings tabs open the right place.
- Help articles and their pictures describe the new tabs.
- Nothing in this release changes what the desk buys or sells, or any limit on your book.
Switched on
- Nothing is switched on or off by this release.
Known gaps and what’s next
- Strategy keeps a sixth tab, What runs, until the Signals screen takes it over in a later release.
- Profile on Strategy still puts more words at the top of the page than we want.
- Inbox, Overview, Desk (named "Agent" in this release), Markets and Lab get the same page layout in the next releases.
