Release 54
Safer logs, a one-minute brief and a clearer landing poster
This release tightens what the platform writes to its logs and sends by mail, and adds a brief and a redrawn poster.
What changed for people using Bellwether
- Secrets stay out of the logs. The log filter now masks broker key pairs, sign-in cookies, mail and chat keys and one-time links wherever they appear. Setup and password links are no longer written to the web server's request log.
- Reports and notices go out once. A scheduled report reaches each person once, even when two servers wake at the same minute. A notice interrupted halfway is finished later and never sent twice.
- A one-minute brief for any ticker. The symbol page gains a short sourced read whose call is logged before the outcome and scored against the S&P 500. It is off in this release and the page says so.
- The landing poster is redrawn. Three cards of one width sit on one line from the thesis to the outcome, a column on a phone and a row on a laptop. The words did not change.
What you may notice
- The symbol page has a new section, One-minute brief. Until it is switched on it shows one sentence and no button.
- On Track record the tile that counted brief calls now reads research-brief calls scored.
- Help has two new articles, Alerts and Exits, targets and stops, and two new questions in the FAQ. About twenty other articles were corrected to match the screens as they are now.
- The waiting list form answers "try again later" sooner when one address or one network sends many requests in an hour.
- On a phone, tapping a step on the landing poster brings that step's card up under the control.
Switched on
- The log, mail and notification changes apply to every book from this release. There is no switch for them.
- The one-minute brief stays off until it has been walked on the live site in market hours and after hours.
Known gaps and what’s next
- The brief's record says it is too early to say until 200 of its calls have been scored.
- Help still names Activity as its own screen in about thirty places. It is a tab of the Inbox now, and those articles are next.
